With the regular season winding down Humphreys stats just keep piling up while leading a 8-1 6A Daviess County Football Team.

Through 8 Games

189-279

2831 passing yards for 35 touchdowns

44 rushing attempts

442 yards for 11 touchdowns

I don't know about you but those stats are eye popping to me! He for sire is deserving of Mr. Football!

What else can you tell us about Humphreys?  How tall is he?  How well does he run the football?  What college offers does he have?  What were his number last year? Anything else?

6'3/6'4 put some weight on this off-season. Several lower level offers at the moment. Runs ball extremely well. 4.4 /4.5 kid. Stats last year were very good. He checks all the boxes. Arguably outplayed Wimsatt the last 2 years in their match-up but also was asked to do more.

He  has a max benchpress weight of 315 and max squat of 405. Has offers from Akron, App state, Army, EKU, Murray State, Kent State, Austin Peay, MTSU, and UAB. He runs a 4.47 40 yd dash. Can launch the ball 50+ yards but will also tuck it and out run everyone for a touchdown. He is a 2 year team captain and a 3 year starter. Steps up in bug games, has a no loss mindset and loves facing adversity. Very smart kid on and off the field.

Thanks @Matthewc, he sounds like a terrific high school football player.

He's a great player. RPI projects Daviess County playing St. X in 3rd round of playoffs if both teams make it to that round since nothing guaranteed so I hope to see him live.

I would love to see what Humphreys can do against X and would go on to say for him to win the award Daviess has to make a deep playoff run where he is the star.

The key is if all the coaches in the Western KY vote for him.

Hopefully there is never any block voting by geographical region.

Humphreys is amazing.  He has turned Daviess into a top 10 6A team, won a tough district, ran and thrown on everyone.  His only loss is a 7-point loss to Owensboro.  I think he needs to have a great playoffs and do a bunch against X or Male in round 3 to have a good shot.  I think the Beechwood and St. X QB’s are in the mix as well.  Sivori has been huge as has Hergott.  Besides Wimsatt, Humphreys is the best I’ve seen this year.  I think Sivori is right behind him and I haven’t seen Hergott.

To be fair, I think the perception from the Western part of the state believe this is done in Northern KY, Louisville and Lexington.  I don’t think the Western part does that.
