Brennan broke the NCAA single-season record for touchdown passes, throwing five in the second half to lead Hawaii to a 41-24 victory over Arizona State on Sunday night in the Hawaii Bowl.

Brennan, 33-of-42 for 559 yards, threw a 7-yard scoring pass to Ryan Grice-Mullen on the Warriors' second series of the second half to break the previous mark of 54 set by Houston's David Klingler in 1990, also against the Sun Devils.

Jason Rivers also tied a school mark with 14 receptions and set the Hawaii record with 308 yards, the most in a bowl game since 1937. NCAA records don't go back any further.

Thats impressive. Didn't a guy from Hawaii break the all time TD record a few years ago??

Chang...

^ I believe it is...I certaily feel that Brian and Andre would've done the same in Hawaii.

This kid is going to win the Heisman next year if he comes back.

Right now, I see him as a mid to late 2nd round pick this year. Next year he may be the #1 pick if he continues to improve IMO.

Impressive numbers but he's the product of June's RNShoot, he really did poor against higher ranked foes, most of his TD's came against weak competition, plus now a days Bowl stats are included with regular season stats, too bad they didn't do that when Barry Sanders played.

Hard to back that statement up... set the single season record for TD's this year and I didn't hear his name mentioned by anyone.

Even harder to believe he was a walkon last season. He won't even sniff the Heisman since he's 5 time zones away but the numbers are impressive, their WR, Bess (sp?) is a player, he has a rap sheet but he's quicker than a cat. I've always enjoyed watching Hawaii when they are on the air, the RNS is almost distinct but that type of weather will keep it around.

Its the offensive scheme they run

Yes, he is a product of the system. But most of the lead analysts of college football say that without a doubt Brennan has the tools to be a big-time quarterback in the NFL. He definitely needs to return for his senior season, however.

I like Colt Brennan and I want to see him do well in the NFL, but is it just the system he's in or what? Those numbers are amazing.

And if it is the offensive system he's in, what is it that makes the system successful?

Some of it obviously is the system, but watch one of their game's next year if he comes back. this kid has some talent.
