Big game for Bullitt East as 2-1 Graves County comes to town.  Graves Co. is 2-1 beating Paducah Tilghman and McCracken County in back to back weeks.  Only loss coming to Mayfield to start the season.  GC has had a balanced attack in it's two wins but has given up some points. 

Bullitt East is 2-0 and did not look good beating a mediocre Spencer County but improved in it's second game drubbing of cross county rivals North Bullitt.  Graves would have to be favored but it will be a good measuring stick to find out how much better BE is now in Ethan Atchley's 3rd season at the helm.  BE has a nice QB in Jr. Travis Egan and some talent at the skill positions but are inexperienced up front on offense.  Their secondary will have to play well to pull this one out. 

This is a big game for Bullitt East.

My computer rating says Graves Co. by 11. I think this should be good game.

Based on hudl - teams looks eerily similar.  The field at Bullitt is horrid which may favor them.  I still look for Graves to win.

Hard for me to make a call on this one as I know next to nothing about Bullit East, but the long trip concerns me. Big game for RPI for Eagles.

Cal Preps has it 35-31 Graves Co on a neutral field.  I agree, it should be a good game.

The field itself at Bullitt East is actually, fairly good for a grass field.  Now, the surroundings facilities such as the fieldhouse, home and away seating, etc. are lacking to say the least.

Our fan base and parents generally travel pretty well. Will there be enough seating or should we be prepared to be standing and might we want to bring lawn chairs?

There is room for about 100-150 fans in the visitor bleachers

 

I imagine we will have it packed. That’s not terrible. I have seen way worse! 

I actually believe Graves wins this game pretty easily something like 38-20. I believe Graves has played a tougher schedule and a lot of times that will go a long way in preparing a team for games as the season advances.

This program has been working hard to instill a work ethic and to change the culture of what's expected from it's players and to hold each other accountable.  Not accountable to coaches, parents or fans but to each other.  To rely on each other and to play for each other more than themselves.  They are better than they were last year.  You have to win the games you are supposed to and at some point you have to win some games you shouldn't.  You have to overachieve.  I think Graves is probably a better team.  They should be favored.  But I think Bullitt East has a chance to win one of those games this Friday.  They have some talent, but they have to learn to take the next step.  Sorry this has gotten sappy, I just want a lot for these guys.

Well said.  The boys are learning how to be a team and how to win.  They are getting there, but still probably a year away.  They do have talent and I think you'll see some of those kids step up this Friday.  Whether or not it's enough to win this one, we'll see.  I firmly believe BE has the advantage up front and that will play a big factor on Friday.  The teams are very similar as far as offensive schemes, but I think Graves Co. will have a difficult time running their zone scheme between the tackles as long as BE has all of their defensive starting front 7.  On the flip side, I think BE will be able to run the ball well against Graves.  Looking forward to a good game.  As long as BE doesn't shoot themselves in the foot numerous times, I think they have a good chance to win this one.  If they do make the mistakes they made in the first 2 games, it's going to be a long night.

Agreed.  The field is in excellent shape.  Facilities need upgrading for sure.

When did you see our field.  As of yesterday, it looked great!!!  Should be a fun, competitive game.  Fans at BE most definitely support their Chargers.
