I think that Bromley owns WKYT.:eek: :lol: He's gonna get smacked if he keeps poking his head in Tubby's timeout huddles.
December 23, 200619 yr UK played a solid game on both ends of the floor. The young guys are really coming along. I like what Travis Ford is doing for UMass. He is a very good young coach. Nice W for the Cats!!! :thumb:

I am a huge Tubby Smith guy. But, Ford might just be the next Donovan. He's got that mystique about him that only Donovan and Pitino carry. If he would have won last night after beating Louisville also, then go into the big dance and make a sweet sixteen appearance, we could have possibly seen him in Lexington if the Cats don't finish as well as the Minutemen. Luckily, Tubby will stay and UK will rise above expectations this year.

I'd want Mark Turgeon or Tom Crean, but that's a topic for a different thread, and one that hopefully won't have to be discussed for another couple years at least.

You are correct it made a big difference and Umass seem to have no answer. With the 20 hr. practice ruled waived it really gave Tubby time to prepare and he and the Cats did an outstanding job.
December 24, 200619 yr LABS, you're usually dead on, but Stevenson was the first sub in the 2nd half at around the 18:00 mark. He had the nice dunk on the assist from Jasper on the fast break. Your right... It didn't seem like he played that much, was more of Perry and Thomas, than #21.
December 28, 200619 yr I believe the biggest blame that lies squarely on the shoulders of Tubby is the quality of his staff. When Saint Rick is getting all of the credit for UK's run in the 90's, look at his staff. Billy D., Tubby, Sendek, Ralph Willard, Bernadette and I am sure I am forgetting someone else. Rick's best move was the quality of staff that he put together. They recruited, they could coach, they were some of the brightest minds in the game.
