I imagine a shoot out today with Ryle. 

Seems like most teams remaining are going to be very limited with their pitching from here on out.  Not a fan of the three games in three days to win the region.  Just feels like the region championship is going to be won on the shoulders of the 6th or 7th best pitcher on a team.

I'm a fan of the format. I prefer rewarding teams who have deeper staffs. It also requires a little more strategy. And if your stud throws an efficient 1st game, or your team takes care of business early, you can still bring him back for the 3rd game.

I'm with you rjs. I love the 3 games in three days. You have to have more than one or two pitchers to win the region.

I go back and forth on it.  I just don't like it forcing teams to keep kids out there to pitch, when they clearly are gassed.  That is when injuries happen.  It is not good for the kids, but teams have to do what they have to do with this format. In my opinion, Monday-Wednesday-Friday is the best format.  Still requires at least two-three solid pitchers to advance.  

RIP Nux, gone way too soon young man.  I remember his funeral, and that of Bobby Schultz, like they were yesterday. ?
