Somerset lost some studs to graduation but this should be a job that gets some attention. Somerset always seems to find some kids that can hoop.

Coach Thacker would be great, but difficult to get him to leave Rowan Co. With the success he’s had there.  They may have to go younger/upstart coach with it being in rebuild mode.

Ryan Young (Ex Garrard Co Coach and Lincoln Co. Player) could be in play here.  He’s been helping Danville Christian Academy this spring, and has head coaching experience in the region.  His Garrard teams were close to breaking through in a tough 45th District a few times.

His named was mentioned at Somerset when Dunbar was hired. Certainly wouldn’t surprise me to see him make a run at the job.

In a time when all the talk is about player transfers, and players repeating seasons, Young as a coaching addition to Danville Christian would be a major boost for that program.

Makes sense Young helping Story with the Lincoln County connection there. If it works, I could see Story handing it off to Young, affording him his second opportunity at the 45th.

He’s super motivated right now.  A break here or there and GC would’ve been in the regional tourney while he was there.

Somerset always seems to have athletes in that system. It may take a year or two but the right coach could help to bring the bunnies back. A coach with experience would be beneficial in this case.
