Like 13 points and 6 boards per game... And that's been against mostly weak competition. Also, Horford might not be playing against OSU. It's not going to be the game to gauge Oden in IMO.

December 20, 200619 yr Actually he's had a big rebounding game since I last looked at his stats (17 against Florida A&M) so that puts him at 12.2 PPG/7.6 RPG. Those are fine numbers in the SEC, but so far... This season.. Against the competition they've played he hasn't done much. I definitely think he made a mistake by going back to school.

December 20, 200619 yr Morris is a good college basketball player, that when is time is done at UK, they will certainly miss him. He seems to have improved his post moves, is more aggressive on the offensive end and will get better defensively, denying shots and boxing out. As for comparisons to other players, just something for some to talk about....I can think of qualities or abilities, that each posses from Hansbrough, Noah, Brian Butch to Oden but they aren't at UK.

December 21, 200619 yr We will have nobody. Carter will never develop into a player and the 2* player coming next season will possibly be another bench warmer. Does Tubby and the staff have a player in reach if Morris leaves after this season? Honestly ,,what are we going to do??? I don't know but is it possible they could sit out 1 season of the SEC and put the Louisville, Indiana, and North Carolina games on Hold for a while??? I know!! I just got it, they could just play a JV schedule next season and play schools like Northern Kentucky, Cincinnati State and Bellarmine.:confused: :sssh:
December 21, 200619 yr They could move Stevenson to the Center position. He will probably have another 20-25 pounds on him, to be at 225 or 230 next year. Thats all we need is another player playing out of position. To be honest Morris would be a better 4 than he is a 5, but we lack a complimentary post presence inside that could play the 5.

Morris has improved tremendously this season and is a very good player, but to say Oden couldn't handle Morris is the wildest comment I have read this entire basketball season. Oden is already being considered one of the best centers in the NBA for next year, Morris didn't even get drafted after his freshman year. I wish your statement was true but without being a total homer there is no way anyone can honestly say that Greg Oden could not handle Morris.

December 21, 200619 yr National championships Pope, yes. Dent, no. McCarty, yes. Riddick, no. Batting .500 which would give you a great ML baseball salary. To add to that, I believe McCarty was the only one of the 3 that was drafted. Pope MAY have been drafted, but I believe he came in as a free agent signing. Riddick never played a minute in the NBA.

December 21, 200619 yr Great centers with their back to the basket, not sure of. Riddick by no measure was an offensive juggernaut. Dent could dropstep and power move but not gifted with offensive moves. McCarty and Pope was more dangerous from the perimeter than on the post. Nazr became one, spent one year as one and then left. And that was under Tubby, not Pitino. Centers does not equate to back-to-the-basket players in today's game. Cant believe that everyone has forgotten about Jamaal Maglore.
