You guys are true 18%ers. There's only one player in this discussion that has a chance at the National Championship and it's not Randolph Morris. Morris against Oden is a terrible match-up. A 7 footer who is as quick as a 3 and has unlimited post moves. Oden would do what he wanted and Morris would either let him or foul him. This isn't a knock on Morris, but he's not the player that Oden is. He's not even in the same class. Noone is comparing Morris to Ewing and Hakeem, but the experts predicted Oden to be that good, and now they're realizing they are right. Not to mention that Oden jumps so high and is so much quicker than Randolph that he would offer every single shot he took (like Noah has done in the past).

 

 

I remember some players that were compared to Hall of Famers who never lived up to it.

I think that Morris would throw would good hard pumpfake, Oden would jump out of the gym, Morris would throw his body into Oden and draw the foul and then say "welcome to DI rookie!" Then Morris would give him that look that he gives from time-to-time where his eyes look like he could kill you.

Morris has spent the better part of his college career getting outplayed by decent big-men. I can't say he's a top center in the country based on 3 games (Memphis, UNC, UCLA) Also, Hansborough and Brandon Wright are both about 6'8" 6'9".

To a degree. I belive the better argument is that Morris has spent the better part of his career sitting on the sidelines and not knowing how to position himself properly. Even as a Freshman he had moments when he could always score some points. He has done a better job of that towards the end of last season (i.e. UConn, which had a great frontcourt) and the games you mentioned earlier. However, I do think Oden would have a lot of success. But, I also feel Randolph would be able to score.

IF he was 7 foot tall and named Greg Odon he'd be a worse one. Tyler is not 6'11" like Morris.
