Trinity alum Rondale Moore showed out today. The 5’7” playmaker had a 42.5” vertical  and 4.29 40. He’s going to make a nice slot receiver somewhere.

***wasn’t sure if this should go here or college football.

His height and injury history are the only things that will concern NFL teams. However, as long as he is used right, he will have a solid NFL career.

I am with you fc, I think Rondale can have a good pro career if the stars line up.

Rondale was just on the Pat McAfee show.  Have never seen him in an interview scenario before, but he was very reserved.  This just his style?  Or has he potentially been wore down by countless Zoom meetings?  Pat ended up closing the interview early, just because the energy level dropped really, really low.

I was listening. Got mad because McAfee said “ran a 4.29 hand timed 40”... “hand timed” upset him. His demeanor changed immediately.

I didn't listen to how the conversation developed, but that is an important distinction. A 4.29 40 would put him .07 off the all time combine record and in all-time elite territory. Not saying he can't run that, but it would be doubtful.

Yeah. A lot of crazy 40s this year. Combine has lasers. These dudes are running with their coach on a stopwatch.

For 50+ years there's been a widely used default conversion formula for sprints (hand timing v laser/FAT).

Step 1. Round up to the nearest tenth of a second (4.29 -> 4.3).

Step 2. Add 0.24 seconds to the Step 1 time (4.3 + 0.24). So a hand timed 4.29 equates to a laser timed 4.54. Apples v Oranges.

A lot of guys clam up when they're told this. I know I'm not nearly as fast as I once thought I was. 🤓
