2021 is no different than any other year.  Most informed people that follow the AP have little or no confidence in their voting.

That may be the case, but the AP Poll this week is reasonable based on the current MaxPreps ratings:

I understand, it is pretty hard to mess up but at the end of the day there are too many homers voting in the AP and the voting members really have no idea about most teams.

Could be the case, but I would submit it doesn't matter until all state teams are being selected. But I think the coach voted all state teams are worse than the AP selected teams.

This. All rankings should be done by computer, IMO.

RPI is busted (IMO), and Litkenhous is gone, sadly.  I don't pay to see the Cantrell ratings, but I'd tolerate the Massey ratings.  They currently have it:

1. Covington Catholic
2. Lexington Catholic
3. Male
4. Elizabethtown
5. Ballard
6. Bowling Green
7. St. Henry
8. DeSales
9. Highlands
10. North Laurel

Nothing glaring, but not the order I'd have it, personally.

I have read several comments where Eastern Kentucky schools are snubbed.  I am definitely starting to see that this is true.  Ashland Blazer could have beat North Laurel by 30-40 if they wanted.  How can they not be at least #10 on this list?

I also think Bowling Green should be higher as well.

Well, it’s important to note that what I posted were the Massey ratings, a computer ranking. I agree with you that Ashland would be above North Laurel. I was just saying there wasn’t anything completely insane like, I don’t know, Doss being in the top 5 or something. 
 

As for Bowling Green being higher than 6th, I simply don’t see how that can be. You mentioned Ashland’s win over North Laurel - Elizabethtown destroyed Bowling Green and Ballard won by 16 at Bowling Green. They’re not going to be above LexCath or CovCath because.... well let’s just face it, they’re not going to be above those teams. Which leaves Male, and at that point, it’s eye of the beholder. I personally think it’s harder to justify Bowling Green being above either St Henry or DeSales than it is to justify them being higher - and I really like this Bowling Green team. 

Good ranking. But do not let the last two game fool you about North Laurel.

There as good as advertised! Had two tough ones back to back. They were due for a bad game or two. Better now then in the districts or regionals!
