There's no school, like old school:

Bob DeMoss, Dayton 1944 - 1st team C-J All- State and Sweet 16 All-Tournament Team from Dayton's state runner-up team. Chose to play football only, as a QB at Purdue. Was later head coach of the Boilermakers.

DeMoss was the starting QB at Purdue for all 4 years he attended.

Arez Henderson - Holmes

Help me with a name guys. Big strong guy, played for Holmes, probably graduated around '06 or '07. I think that he played college ball somewhere like Illinois St.

Previous to Holmes winning the Sweet 16 in '09, this guy was on a couple of the other Holmes teams that went far in the Sweet 16, but din't win it all. His name just will not come to me. Big guy, great player.

Old school - part deux:

Dave Hickey, Holy Cross 1965 - C-J All-State and Sweet 16 All-Tournament Team for the Indians' state finalists.

Dave was a three year starter at DI Creighton University.

Adding old school names:

Lloyd Poore, Walton Verona

Carl Foster, Newport Catholic

Side note: Newport Catholic is #5 in Kentucky in all time wins.

A couple Holy Cross names to mention:

Andre McClendon

Erik Goetz - Goetz is one of the few N. Ky. players in state record books. He is #5 all time in state history in career assists. He has the #4 highest single season assists total. And yes, this is current Beechwood coach Erik Goetz.

What was the name of the tall, slender guy who I think played for CCH and then UK (I believe)  ..first name was Randy...was about 6'7?

Randy Noll, 1968. CCH state runner-up in '67 and regional champs in '68. C-J 1st Team All-State in '68. Played on the freshman team at UK. Transferred to Marshall where he started three years.
