LexCath playing some good ball at the end of the season.

All in all this may end up helping Boyle in the long run.  The starters had not given up a point since Highlands in Sept.  May have gotten a little complacent.  Will certainly have a lot to look at on film and to work on in practice.  If it sharpens them for the next three rounds then fine.  Catholic is very well coached and played hard the entire game.  The old saying goes, "you either win or you learn".  Boyle may have done both tonight.

Looking at scores tonight it seems a ton of teams went down tonight on their second meeting this year.   Last year Boyle never got pushed until the State game and IMO this helps them to work on improving.  Lex Cath showed how good they where with the win over Cov Cath a couple of weeks ago and a top 4A team.  This time of the year all that matters is win and move on.  Just ask Louisville Central, Mayfield, Pulaski County, Pikeville, Logan County, South Warren, Rockcastle County, Raceland, Taylor County, and Mercer County.  They couldn't pull off a second win over the same team tonight.  Just Win and Advance!

I definitely think Boyle got complacent after they were up 28-0 in the second quarter. Give LC credit for never giving up and making it a game in the 2nd half. I hope Boyle learns from this and makes progress moving forward.

I would like to know the last time Boyle gave up 500 yards on defense.  Boyle only rushed three most of the night.  Another problem with their pass defense was when they did send a couple of linebackers on blitzes they overran the QB and didn't get the sack.  You can't send extra people and then miss the QB, which happened most of the time they sent someone.  That was only a handful of plays.  Most of the pass defense was still coverage issues.

I hope starting Boyle County DB Cash Logan is ok. Heard it might be ACL injury. Prayers for him.
