I see we have a circus in town now. KHSAA needs looking at them with a microscope.

Strange things still afoot!

Football program picked up a decent all-purpose back in a transfer from Dupont Manual. From the sound of things that won't be the only new face walking the halls at Evangel next year.

Football program has been dissolved. Sounds like the superintendent is stating that DaMarcus Smith was never officially hired as football coach either, despite attempting to recruit players from other high schools while claiming to be the coach. Brandon Bender has also been terminated, and appears to have admitted to falsifying information on Kyran Tilly's eligibility application to the KHSAA by alleging that Tilly's family stated he was "subjected to abuse by his coach at his former school."

Interesting stuff. Interesting stuff.

That. Is. Bonkers.

If you read carefully, it looks like Bender could, and most likely will, get his job back. After some “training” of course. The whole thing feels like a smokescreen to drop football. Most likely for a lack of resources.

As I understand it, Bender has been taking training courses.

To be clear, that's is the Evangel World Prayer Center, which is the church that operates the school.

Yes, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

A religious tv station is suing a church???

They should get together and pray that God sorts things out instead of our court system. Maybe donate the money they had set aside for lawyers to the needy ?

Who is running things now?
