Holmes 20 Newport Central Catholic 0

Make it six in a row!!!

Congrats to the Bulldogs!!!  Beating NCC is always a big win.

Congrats Bulldogs!

Holmes defense was solid tonight with four interceptions, kicker Nate Pouncy may have been the mvp with punts of 53 and 63 yards to keep Newport Catholic with a long field, always a nice win on the road against Newport Catholic. Holmes will host a first round game next week, probably against Harrison County.

I liked what I saw out of Holmes in this game. That was the first time this year I had seen them. They have some playmakers.

Congrats to the Holmes Bulldogs on the win and the excellent season!  Their defense has been playing very well.  Really wishing them luck these next few weeks.

A tough couple weeks for NCC.

Tip of the hat to the dogs...with very little depth, they pitched the s/o! Tip of the hat to ole Coach Hopkins! Happy for Coach Nevels!

Edit to add: Holmes just clobbered and goose egged a team who's RPI is considerably better and would have them rated 5th and Holmes would be 10th in 4a.
