Lloyd High School Football Coaching Change?

I was advised last night that Roy Lucas Jr. has resigned as the Lloyd High Football Coach. My resources were from the Lloyd vs Boone County basketball game that took place at Lloyd last night. Have no idea if true or rumor however, if anyone knows anything about this let me know. Also any ideas who will apply or someone from inside. JD

I would think Llyod would get a lot more coaches to apply for this one then Conner.

Sadly it is true, he resigned monday. As a huge fan I was really dissapointed.

No word on who will be replacing him, but I hope we get a new coach soon.

THE JUGGERNAUT, I am sure after the success that Roy Jr. had they will get a good replacement. Lloyd has alot to offer next year and in years to come as the Lions program has been increasing kids the last 3 years. Just hope they all decide to stay in Erlanger and play football. And if Roy decides to stay as an assistant to someone else it may even be better. He was a good coach and leader and I only wish him the best. JD

Coach Lucas and his dad are both outstanding men and coaches. It was always a challenge to play their teams.

I heard rumor months ago that BIG changes were coming with Lloyds coaching staff. When I heard Monday afternoon that he told the team he was stepping down I was shocked and a bit in disbelief! I guess this mornings Enquire seals it. Coach Lucas has had a good run at Lloyd. I wish him luck where ever or what ever he decides to do. I hope that the powers that be move swiftly to name a new coach. Whom ever gets the job will need to lay out the game plan and keep the program on track. I know that there are a few capable faces within the program that could fill the bill.:sssh:

LMHSDADDY, I think it is time we go outside again and test the market for a new Head Coach. There are from what I am hearing alot of interest in this job and to just name someone without going through the process would not be fair. I know of two candidates inside that would do a fine job however, I think it is time Lloyd tested the waters to see what interest is out there. I guess we will all have to wait and see, from what I heard last night nothing would be done until January 2007. I wish the Jugg's the best. JD
