December 12, 200619 yr I have never beleived all of the pollsters rankings. With the quality of opponents that UK has played including those they have lost to, they don't deserve these rankings. I agree that as the season unfolds this UK team will be right in the thick of things. The three losses this year were to the #1, #3, and #19 teams. This team will be fine. Parity is in full effect in college basketball. Yes you have your top teams (UK isn't one right now) but any given day, you never know what might happen, especially in the tournament.

December 12, 200619 yr I think that UK is a top 50 team by a mile. They played UCLA all the way down to a fumble by Bradley and played alright against a good UNC team. I really feel like this team could do something if they could just get it together.
December 12, 200619 yr The main flaw I see in the article is that it doesn't mention that regardless of who the coaches are, there is more of a demand to win at UK which is why Smith, even with a better record, is far more criticized that Pitino. However, it does make you think about the situation.

And yes, I am dissapointed we couldn't get a 1 win out of the 3 really good teams we have played. 2nd, things are lightening up now and we have an opportunity to rack up a lot of wins. I understand your frustrated, Im frustrated as well. But your looking at things in black and white. Lets wait and see where we are in a month and then you can get a real feel for this team.

I don't get the point of this thread at all. Is this supposed to incite us to go overthrow Tubby or something? You can only spit this stuff out so many times. We get it man, they aren't ranked in the top 10. What's the point of saying it over and over again?
