December 14, 200619 yr If we get Patterson and he doesn't do good in class, does dumb things outside of the team, and only cares about himself, I'll be mad at Tubby for being a poor judge of character. Tubby has been all over this kid, so its obvious HE thinks we need him. He knows more about any of these kids that I do, thats what the 7 figure paycheck is for. The fact is that UK has been missing on kids they've worked hard for, not that UK is going after lower tier kids. If Tubby can put together a top 10 team with 2 star recruits, thats fine, but thats not what has happened. Is Patterson a type of player, that can make that much of an impact at UK? I've seen him play, looks athletic and has good size but I he would be a good addition, with several other players. I saw listed 2 potential recruits, that UK were pursuing and I do like the current group of Freshman, more than recent classes Coach Smith has brought in.

As far as Florida goes Im not sure if you have been following them at all but they a have been beaten not once but twice! They are beatable! I did get one thing wrong it's not Pitino your crazy about! It's Billy D! I can see it in your typing!

For next year, we're replacing Perry, Thomas, Woo, and possibly Morris. As of now, we've got Stewart (Perry replacement?) and Mike Williams (Woo replacement?). So we still need one or two more quality big men on the roster. It seems like Patterson is the guy that UK feels can really help. I couldn't care less who they get, as long as its someone who can play. I think Stewart is a good pickup if for no other reason than he's excited to play with Kentucky on his chest.

My comment was more toward some fans, who say sign this one or that one, but they really don't have an idea what he can/can't do but then once they arrive at UK, has the first bad game....they often turn on them. I think he can be a very good college player, but not a program difference. If UK can sign him, certainly would be great but let us as fans not place the entire burden of being "the one" on Patterson.
