Commander 25
Bourbon County wasn't on the road for five consecutive weeks. They won at Corbin and Boyle in the first two rounds, then hosted #4 seed Lexington Catholic in the regional final before hosting Lawrence County in the semi-state. Bourbon would then beat Owensboro Catholic in Louisville for the state championship. So they actually played two road games and two home games. Bourbon was at Somerset the first round not Corbin. They beat Corbin at Corbin in 98.

theguru
Trinity running the table in 2011 against a national schedule and winning at least a share of the mystical "national championship" I agree 100%!

Green guy
Trinity- 50 wins in a row, two 3-Peats, eight Back-to-Backs and 17 Titles... That should be 3 3-peats (1988-90; 2001-03; 2010-12) and 1 4-peat (2005-08). Plus 22 titles.
Harry Doyle
Bourbon County wasn't on the road for five consecutive weeks. They won at Corbin and Boyle in the first two rounds, then hosted #4 seed Lexington Catholic in the regional final before hosting Lawrence County in the semi-state. Bourbon would then beat Owensboro Catholic in Louisville for the state championship. So they actually played two road games and two home games. You nailed it. Bourbon finished 3rd in the district that year if I remember correctly. They started off 7-0 or something like that before hosting Danville for their homecoming. Danville throttled them 37/38-0 or close to that. Then, in the region finals, you had LexCath and Bourbon playing for thetitle at Bourbon. Bourbon had beaten Boyle the week before in a quagmire and LexCath beat Danville @ Danville on a 50 yard bomb as time ran out. Bourbon went onto beat Lawrence County in the semis just a week (or maybe two weeks) after Lawrence snapped Breathitt County's 42 game win streak. I know that Chuck taking Boyle from literally the bottom of the barrel to a 5 time straight champ in as many years was unlike anything we will ever see, but Bourbon going from a 2-8 season to State Champs was as good as it has ever gotten IMO. (Trinity sharing the Natty Champ takes the cake, but as far as the common folk....the '97 Bourbon team)
