April 25, 20206 yr Author The SEC had a total of 40 picks out of the 106 chosen for almost 38% of the total taken. They tie the record of 40 picks from 2013 but that was over 4 rounds. Pretty impressive. LSU tied The Ohio State from 2016 for the most players taken by a team through 3 rounds with 10.
April 25, 20206 yr Author Thank you for the updates @16thBBall Fan. Might as well I'm setting in a 10x12 bedroom quarantined. It's a good way to pass the time lol. We are all fine but my wife is high risk due to severe asthma and diabetes so we are not taking any chances.

April 25, 20206 yr Author Fromm and Eason want to go back to college. That’s what I was thinking as well.
April 25, 20206 yr Fromm and Eason want to go back to college. Eason will be fine. Fromm should really capitalize on the whole Jake from State Farm thing and make a killing in Athens selling life insurance to Georgia fans.
April 25, 20206 yr Day 3 of the draft for the Browns will be about adding depth to their roster where needed. One spot where they need depth is OG. I think they will look for someone to fill that role, possibly Netane Muti from Fresno St or one of the guys who have played both Guard and Tackle, like Jake Driscoll from Auburn who reportedly is also learning to play Center also. A guy like that would be a good addition for depth on the Line. I look for the Browns to also try to find a WR that may develop into a reliable receiver or playmaker. They have pick numbers 115, 160, 187.
April 25, 20206 yr Author Interesting stat that ESPN just showed that in 2019 65% of all the players on NFL rosters were drafted in rounds 4-7 compared to only 14% from the first round and 21% from rounds 2&3.

Shouldn’t be a surprise. Only 32 players get drafted in the first round. About 250 get drafted in total every year. That’s about 13%. Doesn’t mean 1st rounders aren’t likely to make the roster. It just means there are less of them overall.

If you think it through, the first round numbers are right where I would expect them to be. Each round of the draft is 14% of the players chosen in the draft. On a 53 man roster, 14% is 7-8. If you hit on every first round pick for 8 years and keep them, that is 14% of your roster. The 21% for rounds 2-3 looks lower than expected. That is 11 players on a 53 man roster. But, if you keep every player drafted in rounds 2-3 from the previous five years, that is 10 players.
