Tiny
With the game being at Boyd County, I'll say Elliott wins 58-56. I think Boyd has made an impressive showing thus far this season and will possibly make it to Morehead in March, but I feel like Elliott still has a little more experience and a little more talent, so I'll give them the edge. NOTE: If Boyd County wins, feel free to trash me. That's what I expect and that's what makes this site fun. Okay Wireman here we go.How do you say that Elliott is better than BC when BC is 2-0 and Elliott lost to Raceland? You said bring it:D
Wireman
Okay Wireman here we go.How do you say that Elliott is better than BC when BC is 2-0 and Elliott lost to Raceland? You said bring it:D I'm not trashing Boyd County because I'm impressed with their start this season. Let's keep in mind that those two wins were against West Carter in their first game under a new coach and Ashland in their third game under a new coach and who doesn't have a good win yet this season. Elliott has also won two games - one against East and one against West Carter. What makes me think that Elliott is better is that they played Russell on a Vanhoose division I night and only lost by 3 points on a buzzer beater. The best thing is that we can decide on the court though, so I'll be looking forward to the game. I think it'll be very competitive with Elliott winning in a close one. MBWC41
Inside game is going to be the difference in this one. Maynard hasnt been as impressive as some led on before the season, but if he or the twins catch fire it could be a long night for Boyd. I think Branham will shut down one of the twins. Selbee has another big game along with Billy Blanton. Too much size for Elliot. Boyd 53 Elliot

Milhouse
This inside game that Boyd has was it developed over the summer because I did not see if any sight of it in last year Varisty or JV.
Nets
Boyd County's Selby is an underrated big man in the middle that played very well last year vs. Morgan Co. in the showcase in West Liberty. I think he'll be a formidable inside presence vs. the Lions. The Lions will have to 'team' rebound and get on the offensive glass themselves. RA09
Okay they beat West and East,so your saying that those teams are better than Ashland? No, but what I think Wireman is saying is that a 3 points loss to Russell when Vanhoose scores 35 and the team shoots 63 percent from the field is not really something to hang your head about. I think Elliott Co. proved that they are among the elite in the 16th region.

And If Elliott controls the tempo of the game they will win by 10-to15 If they dont BC has a good chance to win the game.

I think Boyd will be able to control the tempo in this one because they are more than willing to execute Coach Pratts game plan.I dont think this is the most talented class by any means that Coach Pratt has had while coaching at Boyd. I do however think that this is a class of kids that are willing to work their butts off for him. They really dont look that great on paper. This might be one of those teams that just finds a way to beat you. I also think that Coach Pratt learned a lot from last season and has these kids listening to and respecting every word that comes out of his mouth. I was really happy to see Pratt coaching again this year, he's a great guy and a class act on and off the court. I really didnt think he would come back after last year. I think Elliott Co. proved that they are among the elite in the 16th region. That is exactly what I'm saying. Elliott hung with Russell on their best night, which to me is more impressive at this point in the season than any of the wins either of these teams have. I will say that this will be Boyd's opportunity to say "hey 16th region, we're here to play this season!" If they win, they will be considered a top 5 team in my book. Also, to answer the question earlier - I think that East and West would both have a good shot to beat Ashland at this stage. Later in the season, maybe/maybe not - but as for now, Ashland is still finding itself.
BogeyMan
Elliott has to control the tempo to keep it close. They have no defense inside. Ferguson is tough, but no size. Greene will not be able to stay out of foul trouble. he is a banger, but he has to learn to do it without getting all the fouls. That being said, if Elliott can get out and run like it did against West Carter, it could be a tough night for Boyd. Who knows?

I knew there was a reasonable explanation for his absence!
