Before threatening the kids, coaches and parents about not following the protocol....how about set the protocol first. 

 

What did they do over the summer?  It seems they never expected to be in this situation. 

Brady wants to know about contact tracing now and how it is going to work.

Pollio says the health deparment.

Brady thought it would be the AD.

Wyman is telling us about general procedure when there is a health issue. 

Pollio says Eva Stone is as good as they come.  I don't know who that is but I think it may be a medical person they count on. 

Brady watched a field hockey game on Youtube and now he wants to redo national classifications of sports.  

Brady doesn't see anything changing between now and a few weeks from now and his expert thinks things are going to get much worse this fall.  

Brady doesn't think his options make sense. 

No indoor practices.

He doesn't know how we have volleyball...

He thinks they have a greater responsibility to the community.  It definitely isn't to kids with this group. 

In summation he is open to a phased in approach.

Diane Porter wants to know about locker room sizes and thinks they are probably too small to accomplish social distancing in a locker room.

Wyman says they have a complete ban on weight rooms.

No kidding.  The number one indicator of mortality rate of COVID is Vitamin-D deficiency. 

No sun - no vitamin-D without supplements. 

Point is - without sports kids will NOT be outside and will suffer vitamin-D deficiency and will be more susceptible. 

So you may be create the situation with the vote tonight.

Diane Porter wants to know what happens to students that can't participate.  It was a little ambiguous. 

Pollio is talking in circles now and really didn't answer much other than anyone could decide not to play.

Porter wants to know how many people can be on a bus.

I care greatly but I know you are not talking about me. 

Pollio says the problem won't be buses but there could be a shortage of bus drivers. 

Risk of COVID fatality to those under 30 in Kentucky - 0.0%. 

What has more risk of death than COVID to those under 30 in Kentucky based current statistics - everything. 

Suicide attempts have skyrocketed.  As have overdoses.  COVID is not a concern of the young at this point when compared to suicide and drugs and abuse. 

Diane Porter is asking about little kid sports now and their possible mental health.

I think that is important but that is not the purpose of this meeting.
