Newport High School Friday @ 7. Should be a good one! The Highlands faithful will be out in full force.....

Expect this game to be close to the end. Highlands usually does not play remarkably well at Newport for some reason.

 

Curious to see if there is any carryover from the regular season game shenanigans.

From what I recall from their first game @ Newport back in early January when the Wildcats were just beginning to slip, they gave the Birds a really decent game up until the last few minutes when the wheels eventually fell off. Of course Highlands is the favorite here, but as Newport has just shown with their win over the Breds, they are back in business and undoubtedly will give the Birds all they want along with nice benefit of facing them at home.

Newport is athletic. Highlands will be favored. But I expect the same passion from Newport that they displayed last night. If so, this could turn into a barn burner. Snapp knows how to coach with the lead. So expect a lot of holding the ball on possessions if Newport has a lead.

Going to be down to the wire i think based on how Newport played against NCC. Seem to be putting it together. HHS has been solid all year and a slight favorite, but nothing would shock me. Click here to listen on (859) Sports Radio!

The pick has to be Highlands here. But, White is a gamer and always seems to come up big in big moments. Snapp will have his hands full, but he knows his way around the gym.

I personally would think it would be very disappointing for Highlands staff and kids to not win the District with the type of season that they have had to date. With that said, the ball can bounce funny sometimes. I hope that it is a clean hard fought game and does not have any of the nonsense that surrounded the regular season game.
