37th District title game takes place Thursday night at Campbell County Middle School. Mustangs won the regular season battle by 9 on January 3rd, and they enter this one having won 6 of their last 7.

 

Aric Russell's Camels have won the last 6 District Championships, which is quite impressive considering the consistent strength of the 37th. Campbell has shown it can be a dangerous team this season, with wins over the likes of Bourbon County & St. Henry.

 

In this crosstown rivalry, who claims the 37th's crown?

I know one thing - this is going to be one of the best atmospheres in the state Thursday night. Rolling with my Mustangs in a close one!

I really think after watching both these teams play, if the camels get everyone involved instead of the 2 man game, the camels will be victorious, Beiting and Hamilton have to be involved, when camels have all 4 in the double digits camels can beat anyone, it gonna be a good one but I think camels win this one.

Even though my heart is with the Mustangs I know Campbell is a very good 16-14 team. It's 20 years since the 'Stangs only Sweet 16 appearance. Play hard, have fun, and enjoy that atmosphere. As a coach, player, or fan it is terrific. People have no idea how important that district final is for regional seeding. That region will be a war this year!!

Am I simply missing something, or is the 10th down as far as I can remember this year? Would that be incorrect? I just don't see a team in the 10th this year that scares anyone around the state. If I'm wrong, I apologize.

The region will not make any big noise for state championship this year...in my opinion. That being said I think there are several possible winners depending on draw etc.

It is down, but I don't think that changes the thinking that the Regional Tournament could be a knock-down-drag-out affair. I believe that's what he was referring to.

I think its just more even across the board, therefore making it anyone's game. Most teams have several players that can make an impact on any given night. That can make preparing for a team a little more challenging. Don't take any team for granted- (just ask Brossart about Scott ) not that they were taking them for granted but the Mustangs came very close to getting knocked out last night. And most peoples' pick ( Bourbon Co) did get knocked out!!
