Per The Anderson News sports editor Chris Leach, statements are out from AC super as well as Peach.

I don't know the Super at Anderson County. I just don't understand the purpose of the statement they released. Doesn't serve a purpose. Other than it appears to take a shot at Coach Peach that wasn't needed.

Superintedent made his choice to move on. No need to release a statement a month later, right after the ex-coach finds another job.

They are apparently forming a committee to interview players and parents to gather feedback. Don't seem to be in a hurry.

They are also offering no comment on what led to him being let go.

Players and parents involved in the hire? What a disaster Anderson County football is about to become.

WOW! I am shocked! Having some epic battles with AC during our Cooper road playoff runs in '12, '13' and '14 I always respected and appreciated the AC program. Their players always played hard in those games and their staff was always supportive of our team when we arrived and went above and beyond when our QB was seriously hurt in the '13 game.

Don't know Coach Peach personally or what took place but I feel this may be a big loss for the AC program.

UPDATE:

Mark Palmer coming from out of state to take this job.

Heard no scuttlebutt of this.

Per Anderson News weekly paper sports editor Chris Leach ( @chrisLeach_AN )

"BREAKING: @FBALLAnderson has hired Mark Palmer as its next head coach. Palmer spent the last nine seasons at Patrick Henry HS in Glade Spring, Virginia as the head football coach and AD, and led the Rebels to the playoffs in seven of his nine seasons coaching at Patrick Henry."
