Final per update thread.

Simon Kenton loses last night to Grant then knock off Collins the next. The district tournaments and the 8th region tournament is going to be some good and fun basketball.

Wow. What win . Coming off a disappointing night against Grant . Did not expect this

Simon Kenton appeared poised and organized throughout the game, surprisingly, it was Collins that at times seemed disorganized. It seemed that Collins frequently fell into one on five basketball...

I apologize; I was just there enjoying the game and didn't keep any. KHSAA.org should have them posted as soon as the schools submit them.

We saw some players really rise to the occasion.....Jeremy Davis for SK had a monster game shooting the ball from the perimeter.....Kelly Niece looked more in command of the game, and confident in his leg (based on how aggressively he moved) than I've seen him this year....

 

On the Collins side, I thought McKnight was having a pretty good game, until fouls caught up with him. In particular, I was impressed with his defense tonight, as he repeatedly anticipated passes and came up with steals and deflections. His motor was really running.

I've noticed KN rounding into form recently. 39 vs a top 10 opponent is a great sign.

Yes I was. I "perch" up in the rafters, so to speak...LOL

 

Seriously, I'm always either in the press box at the top of the stands or at broadcast table on one side of it. You'll always know I'm there when you see the Pegasus Sports banners hanging in the east end zone or up top in front of the press box / table.

 

During this game, we were "between" broadcasts....I just stayed up top, watching the Spencer-St. X and SK-Collins games. Both were great fun to watch.

 

I would have broadcast both of those games, but we simply could not get enough announcers / cameramen to do all four games on this particular Saturday.

My point was you were at the game, provided game updates and all you had to say was Niece looked more in command of the game and confident on his leg. He scored 39 points while being guarded by possibly the best defender in Ky whom eventually fouls out guarding him (not sure how many fouls were while guarding Niece). He missed maybe 2-3 shots all night from the field while playing the point and running the offense. He also had 6 rebounds. I would at least thought you would have at some point during the game or after the game said Niece had a good game! Only one game and not taking anything away from Collins nor their players. They have amazing talent and are an amazing team that represents the 8th region well throughout the state. I just thought if you were going to comment on this one game, you would have mentioned he played a pretty good game!

Cut CM some slack, he was not broadcasting the game, just trying to let everyone know the score. A lot of guys had a pretty good game. If you had so much interest why were you not there?
