I’d take Draud on my team any day, but I am a realist about his ability to play at the next level. He’s seems to have regressed a little. He’s obviously not a point guard in college. I’m not convinced that he has the range or release to play the 2. He is much more physical this year, but let’s not forget that he could be a senior so he could be what he is physically with not much more growth. Great high school player. IMO he may not be a top ten player in only the 8th, 9th and 10th regions, forget about the state.

I'll be very interested to see where he ends up going to college.

I continue to be amazed at how little love Grant Disken gets. He's the best player on the best team, and no one on this list has played bigger and better versus near the competition he has face this year. Even though he is surrounded by more talent, he is still the focus of the oppositions defense. He also guarded and shutdown one of Florida's top D1 prospects (avg 30+pts/game) in the final game in Florida tournament, and Disken was the best player on the floor.

 

IMHO he was also the only Colonel who looked like he wanted the ball in his hands vs. Oak Hill Academy. Sure, he doesn't put up the numbers that some of the other guys in the region do, but he is the definition of a floor general who elevates all those around him.

The kid is a true winner with a motor that never stops. I'm certain even with all of the talent that the Colonels have that they wouldn't be the same dominating force they are without him. You gotta have the ball in Diskin's hands to keep the whole show stabilized, and even while he was dynamite last year, he has become money with his 3 ball shooting more than before, not to mention just being an incredible leader who has a complete highly talented all around game.

Wait, I didn’t even make it to the 10th region, or all the way through the 9th that are debatable. Since were repeating ourselves, like I said he might not even be top 10 in the 8th, 9th and 10th. Great player, top 5? Maybe next year.

Is Treyshawn Cody number 23 for Lloyd? I have not seen all the teams this year, but was impressed with #23. He can shoot the 3 and is hard to stop.

First thing I noticed about Cody is that he looks like a man amongst boys, and is an explosive dynamite player with a lot of upside.

 

Makes one wonder if his best days are still ahead of him, however with all that he can do around the rim, and still be a big guy who can shoot the 3, I think that he sometimes can toss up bombs at times of the game that are ill-advised.

 

Not exactly, but he sorta reminds me of Elijah Pittman from the Holmes 2009 state champs team that I loved watching what he could do, but often times questioned his shot selection.

 

Sure one can look like a hero when they connect, but when it’s really not the right time for it in a game, it can really seem to expose one’s understanding of the game, and is for certain more noticeable when they miss. I admire his enthusiasm, but would love to see a little less hero complex in him. Perhaps that will come with a bit more maturity.

 

With all of that said, he's still very much is a joy to watch, and he definitely stands out. He's a force, and I certainly hope that he has a bright future.

I agree with everything said here, but still no love for Jalen Scott to be found. I don't get it.

 

Post was for 9th region. That’s what my list was based on. Is Conner still in 9th? Getting reacclimated to all the teams last few years. Just thought they moved out.
