Brohm Rated as Top Pick

Featured Replies

Kiper said this morning on Mike and Mike that Brohm wants to remain healthy for a full season, and really build some #'s for his draft status. My question is can he remain healthy next year?

I have went and researched all the projection boards...and EVERY one has Quinn being the #1 QB being taken. Many talked about Quinn's strength (very strong) and toughness. He hasnt missed a snap as a starter and has been banged around a lot...

I was listening to WHAS tonight and some site/service has listed Brian Brohm as the #1 pick in the upcoming draft should Detroit have the pick. Others have him in the first round , some in the top 10.

I also heard that Brohm will submit the paperwork to get an evaluation from the NFL. I can't imagine him staying should the eval come back withh a 1st round rating.

As a Lions fan I would rather see Quinn with the first pick.

Quinn is definately the #1 QB to go in the draft...Brohm may be 1st rounder, which isn't a certainty, with 2-3 other QBs who alot of teams like better...I think him coming back for another year is his best option and if he could manage to play a full season healthy, could really raise his stock. Even if he gets hurt again, it really hasn't dropped his stock thus far and I doubt it would again, unless it was a serious injury...The Petrino scheme will do nothing but help his stats, because, he's going to throw the ball regardless of the score or qtr....

I don't know if I completely agree with that...I know many people around Louisville have been critical of Petrino about not "going for the throat" on several occasions. I know I personally have been very upset about the fact that UofL tends to let teams back in games, because instead of playing to win, they play not to lose. Sure Petrino has passed until the final horn in SOME games, but that is not at all the norm.

Did you see the UConn game? UL was up like 40 something to 10 in the 4th qtr and Brohms passing on 1st and 2nd down...They did that for 2 offensive series before they finally brought Cantwell in for the last series of the game....The game was clearly in hand and it appeared to me, all they were doing, were padding stats....Matter of fact, the last TD was 30-40 yd pass midway thru the 4th qtr up by 30 plus points....Why? I see no other explanation for it...

I really think (and I am clearly not the only one), think that he has resurrected that opinion, that he is by far the best QB around. I do know that he is on pace to graduate early, but that was simply to make his last season that much easier. There are many on here, that can question, but BB is the best this town has seen in my lifetime.

Brady Quinn will go before Brohm.

If Brian declares....No way.

I dont know about that....

Is Brohm going to be a 3 year graduate. I believe Leinart may have had the benefit of a redshirt year, but I know Brohm didnt get that. The easy class thing is not necessarily true.

.....He is scheduled to graduate early....

I dont know about that....

I guess it depends on who ends up with the #1...

Did you not even read the post you quoted?

I said that Petrino HAD played 'till the last horn in SOME of their games...But again, it's not the norm.

I beleive this spring.
