January 8, 20206 yr Final nice tough road win against a good Georgia team. I liked the Cats defense down the stretch.
January 8, 20206 yr That's a pretty solid win for the Cats. First true road game, shot like crap from the FT line, dealt with bigs in foul trouble but got it done. Outside of the horrible FT shooting, which seems like an anomaly this year, that's a good win.
January 8, 20206 yr Anthony Edwards needs to attack to rim more. They started talking about it in the final 30 seconds. First time I've watched him, he's tough.
January 8, 20206 yr Nick Richards has shown to be the key to this team. When he is in the game the team offensively and defensively is so much better. When he is out of the game in foul trouble they struggled. UK out scored Georgia by 15 points in the second half with Richards playing basically all half, after sitting with foul trouble in the first half and UK trailing by 6.
January 8, 20206 yr Free throw shooting was obviously bad. However, all year it has been great and this was the first road game all year. This is good free throw shooting team and most likely will get better with it in the road here after getting more use to road games.
January 8, 20206 yr Richards' hands sure seem to have gotten better. Last two seasons he had no chance of catching some of the passes on the run that he had tonight.
January 8, 20206 yr Really good win on the road, and one I didn't expect. But it seemed to me that UK was the better team when Richards was on the floor. Thought Maxey played really well on the offensive end. Hagans was repeatedly disruptive on the defensive side. Quickley hit some big 3's, and transition offense overall was key in the second half. Richards had a very nice second half, but he needs to chill with the dumb fouls. Good night for this bunch, bad free throw shooting aside.
January 8, 20206 yr Quickley with another good shooting night. Need him to keep hitting from outside at a decent clip. Also glad to see Hagans didnt really seem affected by the ankle. Maybe was pressing a little early being at home but didn't really show any issues with the ankle.

January 8, 20206 yr Richards' hands sure seem to have gotten better. Last two seasons he had no chance of catching some of the passes on the run that he had tonight. Agreed! I think just obviously confidence has helped with everything. In the past it seemed like he was thinking to much and not just going out and playing. Which probably has to do with him knowing he would be pulled right away for his first mistake. He knows he really can’t get pulled this year, so he isn’t afraid to make a mistake and is just going out and balling out. Seeing his confidence grow every game is amazing. Calipari once again showing when players stay he does develop them and usually they turn into NBA draft picks.
January 8, 20206 yr Richards' hands sure seem to have gotten better. Last two seasons he had no chance of catching some of the passes on the run that he had tonight. Also noticed he's been able to actually come up with some loose balls. Seems like he's finally recognized how hard it is to get the ball from him if it's rarely ever below his chest.

Definitely the team's difference maker. Did a nice job keeping Hammonds from having a good game.
