First time seeing the Birds this year and they were impressive. Sam Vinson is the real deal and saw the Norse in the house to watch. Bush play by Newport at end of game and Highlands coaches were not happy about it.

Yeah, mentioned on radio about Listerman being livid about something. But they never said what.

Awful lot of grumbling from Newport about what Highlands did. Not sure where the truth lies but obviously both sides not happy about something.

At one point last night I saw Coach Snapp of Newport go over to the Basketball Rack behind his Bench and take a Basketball and proceed to Head Butt it repeatedly and then Calmly put it back and Continue to Coach! That's not made up...He is very Entertaining to watch. Very High Strung!

 

I know that If I did that on the Sideline coaching a Football game it would warrant a 15 yarder. He gets a very long leash for sure!

I love how well Soph Zach Barth is playing right now. Playing with some great confidence! Zach may not be the biggest or strongest player on the Court but I would almost bet outside of Vinson hes the most knowledgeable. This team is fun to watch play TOGETHER! Go Birds!

Just like they always say.....There's Video cameras everywhere nowadays. I have seen the Video of what happened at the end. Too bad a great game ended like that. Sorry we are talking about HS kids here so I won't be the one that goes into details of what happened. And yes, it all happened on the Court and not the Crap that people are spewing on Social media this morning.

Yes the slant on social media is taking away from a great game! I think "mishearing" crowd chants is always a problem. What one student section is cheering can become "jumbled" by the time it is heard on the other side of a gym.

 

Newport definitely had opportunities to win. When they tied the game with 1 minute left in the 3rd quarter, Highlands immediately put up 5 points. to end the quarter and that minute was the end of Newport's chances. I love the play of DeShaun White.
