Reds offer Mark Loretta 6 million for 2 years?

There's a rumor out there that they Reds have done just that. I really don't know what their plans would be for Loretta, unless they plan on moving E-5 to RF, and playing Loretta at 3B. Maybe they would use him as they did R. Aurillia last year .

I don't see that happening. If they move E-5 anywhere, I feel it will be the outfield.

Confusing, if true. Loretta doesn't hit enough to play 3B on a regular basis. If he's going to play, it needs to be at 2B, and the Reds already have Phillips. Maybe they want him to be the new Aurilia.

I think it's just a "what will they do with Hatte?" thing more than a where will E-5 go.

Word last year was on how much Kriv loved Hatte on his team. I expect to see him 120 or so times at 1B...
