This game will be much closer than the 51-14 score from the first meeting. To beat the best team in the state St. X will have to be better at the LOS on both sides and can’t turn the ball over. Should be a fun one!

I’m not sure there will be much difference from the first match up. Maybe not the same margin, but I don’t see this one being in doubt into the second half.

Agree with the Post about the toughest matchup.

Hope it lives up to its hype.

May it be injury free for both.

Good luck

Give me ‘H’ Mr. Sajack.

Pat Sajack: there are 42 H’s!

Give me an ‘X’ Mr. Sajack!

Pat Sajak: there are 14 X’s! Can you solve the puzzle?

Yes! It’s “H winning 42-14.”

I think St.X is better than how they played the first time, but I think Male wins this one 28-14.

I don’t know how I feel about this rational thinking.

3 key plays in the first meeting all happening in the first half. Bodhaine throwing an interception setting up Male scoring in a post right after the turnover. Then the next offensive ply for St. X there’s a sack fumble returned for a TD by Male. Boom just like that it’s 21 - 0. Then in the 2nd quarter St. X cuts it to 28 - 14 and has Male in 4th and 6 situation and Male runs a fake punt for about 30 yards.

St. X can’t beat themselves as it’ll be tough enough to beat Male if everything goes right.

St. X had a lot of problems tackling especially tackling Male's running back. The stretch play really seemed to cause St. X problems, hopefully playing Cincinnati St. X helped the Tigers' defense with preparing for the run against Male. Keeping gap integrity will be key, so they must set the edge and try their best to eliminate the cut back.

CalPreps is projecting a 28-20 Male victory. This feels like a reasonable prediction. I expect a battle. The last time Male was beaten was at home against Saint X.

Male 40-0 in 1986 regular season, State Champs, X!

I was there for both in 1986 and hope the same for this year.

Go Tigers

'94 was the year Male had Chris Redman and Ibn Green and St. X beat them in the playoffs, right?

With the scheme of Male's defense St. x has to be able find success running into the boundary because typically with a 4-2-5 defense that's where fewer defenders are. That's where Manual found success running the ball as well as Fern Creek in their first meeting. Would not be surprised to see St. X use a TE quite a bit or add an extra OL to the mix when they decide to run the ball.
