What 6A team has the toughest game this week?

Featured Replies

The BluegrassPreps 6A Top 10 has several big time matchups this week. What team has the toughest matchup? You could also mention any of the other teams who aren’t in the Top 10.

Manual.

Agrred!

Manual.

St. X. They play Cincy St. X.

Cincy St.X is highest rated team and probably equal to Male so to me a tossup between Lou St.X and Manual for toughest game.

What about Central Hardin at South Oldham?

I think you have to say Manual and St. X face the toughest opponents, but the Central Hardin vs. South Oldham game is certainly one of the toughest games featuring a 6A team this Friday. It might rank as the third toughest game for a 6A team as #6 Central Hardin (6A) travels to #6 South Oldham (5A). Both teams are 8-1 and both lost by a TD to a top 10 team. This one will be broadcast on Pegasus Sports (The Pegasus Sports Network - PSN) and should be one of our top broadcasts of the season.

Cincy St X is better than every team in KY.

True, they are better than any KY team but are maybe the 4th best in Cincinnati.

Disagree mightily, and I point to their 7 point home loss to Cincinnati LaSalle as exhibit "A".

They kind of been a up and down team. They have beat some really good teams, but loss to LaSalle and only beat Moeller by 3.

I'm super familiar with them, they aren't great this year, they aren't Top 4 in the Cincinnati area this year, but they will still deliver a healthy defeat to the Tigers, unfortunately.

I’ll admit I can’t explain the clunker that Cincy St X threw up against an average LaSalle team but every team seems to have one game like that. I did notice you didn’t mention games against St Ignatius, Colerain, or Indy Cathedral in your exhibit. Cincy St X’s other blemish is a 3 point loss to Elder which is not a bad loss.

I didn't realize we were going to get super-deep, my quick point was it is hard to say they are better than every team in KY when they took a 7 point home loss to a team that was beaten soundly by a KY team.

I think Elder is clearly the best team in the Greater Cincinnati Area, I'd say CovCath is #2, then I'd go Winton Woods at #3 and probably St. Xavier at 4...although LaSalle would be really salty about being behind a team they beat head to head AT St. Xavier.
