The Tornadoes will make their way to Hoptown to take on the Tigers. This should be another really good game.

This game will come down to who can slow down the other teams bread & butter & make the other team do things they aren’t comfortable with doing.

 

Can Hopkinsville slow Paducah’s run game? Can Paducah limit Hopkinsville’s pass game? Could come down to if Paducah can throw the ball enough to keep Hopkinsville Defense honest & if Hopkinsville can run enough to keep Paducah Defense honest.

Agree with you purple. Read last week on here that Paducah’s Starting QB could be out for a few weeks. No clue who their backup is or if he is a capable passer. Will be the difference in this game as Hopkinsville Run D is legit. Have to attack them through the air where they have been susceptible at times.

I think you're right as rain here WK! One would think that the backup doesn't have as good a handle on the offense as the starter. The Blue Tornado starting QB was making some strides throwing the ball, but I would think Tilghman would be pretty cautious about having the backup throw a ton. But what do I know! I could see a couple wrinkles having the Tilghman RBs and WR incorporate a little trickery to shake things up. We will see!

This is kinda the Lynn Bowden Card that UK has played! I like that for Tilghman and it would keep Hoptown guessing and needing to ready on every play for a guy who can take it to the house on every play.

Exactly right imo. If all things are equal he would definitely be the best option without knowing much about the QB situation.

 

I would wonder if PT would keep that under wraps until needed because they have more important games than this week coming up in my opinion.

This is a pretty even matchup between 2 solid teams. I think Hoptown is the slightly more complete team and I'm going to say Reece Jesse will be the difference maker. I'll go with the same score as WKY.

Mayfield scored only 3 offensive TD’s against Hopkinsville early this season and that was without Hopkinsville’s best defensive player. PT may win but I don’t see Tilghman scoring 35 on them being a run dominate team which is Hopkinsville’s Defensive strength. Could be wrong though.

This game is much more significant for Hopkinsville than Tilghman with regards to playoff positioning and tiebreakers. If Tilghman is without their quarterback and working in a new kid, this is a quality opponent for them to gain experience against. They'll follow that with an easy first round playoff game and a winnable second rounder.

 

Bottom line, Tilghman could lose this week but benefit greatly in the long term.

I agree with GCHS. Tilghman has pretty much secured a 3rd round home playoff game barring some miracle. If they are breaking in a new QB, this is a good game to gauge what he can & cannot do.

 

Tilghman will run through the first two playoff rounds with ease. I’m sure they need and want to see what they have this week to prepare them for their round 3 opponent. They are in a great position to tinker with some things.
