October 29, 20196 yr Also, if there ever was a chance for the electronic ball-strike calling to happen in the majors, I'd have to think it's gotten a huge boost in the past two games. My goodness, I have never seen such horrendous strike calling in back to back games. And these guys are supposed to be the best? Cederstrom and Barksdale need to face some consequences. Unfortunately they aren’t picked because they’re considered the best, it’s based mainly on a rotation and YES, by professional measuring standards they have been HORRIBLE!

Yes, I should have clarified what I meant by the best. These are not part-time guys looking to pick up a few bucks by umpiring a slate of weekend Little League games. These are Major League Umpires. They do this for a living. There should be nobody better suited for the World Series than these guys. And yet... This is the part where having a union is bad, in my opinion. When there are guys that deserved to be replaced, or at least not given the most important 7 games of the year...you (as MLB) should be able to do something about it. But, they can't. Otherwise Angel Hernandez, CB Buckner and Joe West would all be looking for jobs, along with these other guys I've mentioned.

AND after discussing this today they miss the FIRST call of the game at first base, on a call that really wasn’t ANYWHERE close, he’d already hit the bag and his other foot was coming over almost even with it, no excuse for missing a call like that!,

That ball was easily outside.
October 30, 20196 yr Sam Holbrook from Morehead on the call. He ran inside the line the whole time. With that said, without the catcher throwing that ball, it should not matter. He did not interfere with the throw at all.
