I agree, it makes 2A exciting this year.

It's a shame they have to meet up again in round 2...but it should be a heck of a ball game.

After what I seen tonight, 2A champion could easily come out of District 7. Much respect for both teams. They both are legit. Wow what a game. Can't wait for round two. Hard to beat a good team twice.

I keep forgetting. So out of District 4. Lol long night.

Both teams seemed to find a little weakness in the others defense tonight and went at that weakness when they had to move the ball.

 

I think both staffs will study this film and make adjustments as needed for the possible rematch. I was impressed with LCA's pressure on the QB all night and their speed getting to the edge running the ball. Somerset, ran the ball very well inside at times and seemed to wear on LCA as the game went on. Somerset QB looked really sharpe, when given some time to throw.

 

I can see the rematch being just as tight.

What was the game plan for Somerset during the two minute drill at the end of the game? Why on earth do you take two timeouts home with you?

I think they were trying to complete a pass down field before calling one. LCA's pressure didn't allow it. In the end the timeouts had no impact on the outcome of the game. If you can't protect the QB at the end, all the time in the world wouldn't have made a difference.

After the false start I think they really needed to take a timeout and readjust. Obviously stopping the pass rush was a struggle but they seemed completely out of sorts after the first play.
