Cardinals 26 Bengals 23

At this point I do hope they tank and trade Green, Dunlap, and Atkins and start over. I still want them to trade for Trent Williams.

I agree with you but trading for Williams is just something the Bengals don't do.

When Green got hurt, it was like be ready in couple of weeks. Then the surgery, and they said 4-6 weeks. Did everybody not know that was a half a season injury?

When can the Bengals be a playoff contender?

Tua or Chase Young?

Zero debate. Go for the QB. Time to turn the reins over to the Bengals next 10 year QB.

Wow! 21 posts and no mention of Marvin Lewis being the problem. I think we have a bunch of average to below players that have not bought in totally to the new staff and system. Why do teams continue to run out of spread at 4th and 1 or less? Dalton operates under center quite often.

After today, the Bengals are starring at a winless season.

Don't get me wrong the Bengals flat out suck, but they still have the Jets and the Dolphins on their schedule and they flat out suck too. But I agree that beyond that they are doomed to an awful season.

I think the players definitely fully bought in to the system. Now the question may be how good of bad the system is and also just simply they are a bad team.

Honestly it all comes down to getting it right at qb. Assuming they will take a qb with their 1st pick. If they get it right, if could be as soon as 2021. However, if they get it wrong then it may be the 90s all over again.

Get the qb in the draft and then build a line around him and make the focus Mixon to start off with.

It's pretty obvious you are not a Dalton fan. By the time you accomplish what you propose Mixon will be able to move on due to free agency and the line issue may not be solved. I think you might find the QB rating for today's game was ok. Do you feel we have some bigger issues defensively than the QB situation? If I remember you were a McCaron advocate. Has any one in the league made him their #1 QB? Free agency is a difficult sell here, so I guess the draft is the answer.

I'm assuming based off this you are fine with Dalton being the qb still? I agree Dalton isn't the biggest problem currently. However, what is the one thing that can help mask other weak areas and still win games, a top qb. Even though Dalton finished the game strong today. He did only have 22 yards passing after the first half and less than 100 yards after 3 quarters.

For all the ones who like to scream why do people want a new qb, when he isn't the biggest problem. Please remember we have now seen Dalton for 9 years. We have seen him with very talented teams, great lines, and we have seen him with not so talented teams. Which when they did have talented teams, what position did most consider the weak spot those years? The qb spot Dalton. Dalton literally set a record for worst qb performance of all time in a game on Thursday night football at home against the Browns. Dalton played horribly against teams with winning records, prime time and playoffs when he did have talent around. People forget even in 2015 before he got hurt they lost 2 of their last 3 with him at qb. With both being on primetime.

So literally the narrative on him has been very consistent. So while he may not be the biggest problem now, we already know what area is the weak spot when they do have the talent. Which that would be a waste to build talent around him again and fail, and then start over and hope you find the right QB and miss another window.

At this point it looks like they will be at worst top 5 and most likely top 3. Next years qb class should be one of the best to come out in a long time. Which the time is now and hopefully they pick the right one and then build from there.

It's time to trade all valuable parts.

When you compare Dalton to QB’s like Patrick Mahomes, Tom Brady, and Aaron Rogers, there’s just no comparison. No one with a straight face can say that he’s anywhere within their league. Time and again I see those guys rise to the occasion and get it done, and with Dalton I’m often left scratching my head and frustrated wishing for consistency, but it rarely ever shows its face. Dude might be a nice guy, but it’s time for him to hang it up and once, and for all the Bengal finally get a world class QB.

Down 2 touchdowns with a little over 6 minutes to go, Andy Dalton leads the Bengals to 2 touchdowns and ties the game with 2 minutes to go.
