I can if you'd like...

Ryle has only been opened since 94 (I think) so there isn't a large alumni base. Union is a developing area with the majority of the population moving there from other places. Most of the Ryle fans coming to the game will be parents and current students. I will be surprised if we bring a huge crowd with it being a weeknight game, the Bengals, and the weather.

And our student section is disappointing.

I hope the weather holds! What’s your thoughts on attendence for the 4A Championship between Trinity and Ryle...
It will be much less than what it was under the old playoff system ...

I knew your real problem was the "blind draw"... ;)

So you are against the layout of the Sweet 16 that doesn't guarantee the top two teams in the finals? In fact, when Pendleton County went to the Sweet 16, I believe 4 of the top 6 teams was all in the same 4-team pod of the bracket. Guess that was a fraud too.
My problem was the draw wasn't a total draw ... it was a partial draw, because not all of the regions were subject to it. Given the timing of it, so soon after the public-private debate and mess, it sure looked fishy, especially because it was done with no advance notice, more or less in secret, and with less than a full-disclosure explanation at the time.

The "blind draw" is a separate issue. But, in my opinion, both of them were bad decisions, compounded by the fact that they were done with no advance warning.

My understanding is that the KHSAA administration was pushing it and soliciting some support from superintendents and principals for financial reasons.

Of the coaches I have talked to about it, none of them knew anything about it until the decision was made.

One of my buddies cannot go now, so my over/under is down to 8964. ;)
