Dantonio To Michigan State?

Featured Replies

This is a shame he was on the start of doing great things for UC. Hopefully UC can eventually have the same luck as UL did once their coach left for Michigan State after getting a program off the ground and going...

There's some big ones out there, but they'll have competition. Who would top your wish list as a peripheral UC football fan?

UC will not pay big money for a coach.

Im willing to bet a fair portion of Dantonio's staff will go with him. He prolly brokered a better deal for them, in regards to what they are paying at UC.

If you think about it, they just won't support football at UC, for whatever reason. They didn't sell out versus Rutgers, they gave tickets away, the season ticket holders were mad about how they spent top dollar only to see tickets get sliced.

It is not a pretty picture.

He is a heckuva coach. Conservative as heck on offense but knows a thing or two about defense.

This rumor seems to be all the rage in the MSU circle. UC fans are already talking about a replacement. It was reported that they had hired the Browns DC this afternoon, but the tide seems to have changed. If he goes, I wish him the best. He'll once again be the enemy, but such is life...

ESPN is saying he's going.

I wish him the best of luck (except against the Buckeyes:D ). I would had loved to see him stay at UC but who could really blame him? The Bearcats home games didn't draw much in the way of fan support. The pay had to have been low compared to a big 10 school and I belive that he will be able to get much better talent to MSU than he could at UC. Dantonio can flat out coach football, especially on the defensive side of the ball. He seems like a class guy also and imo he will do well at MSU.

At this point, Johnelle might be willing to work for free. Will Cincy give the maniac a call?

^ I would certainly hope that they are not that stupid 02. Cincy seems to have things going in the right direction and Johnelle would be the beginning of the end for that program. JMO.

I certainly hope not!!! Miami would be a great place for him to go. He would feel right at home!! :creepy:

Too bad for UC but , as LABS said, its a stepping stone job. The good news is that he left it better than it was when he got it which should up the level of the candidates.

Actually, according to Dantonio, UC counter-offered very close to the 1.1 million that he'll make at Michigan State.

7 assistants have left UC to join him at MSU tonight. Ouch...
