The National Weather Service has an excessive heat warning in effect for the Louisville area from noon today, through 8:00pm eastern on Sunday. At least one Louisville area team - Fairdale - has cancelled practice for the rest of the week. In Northern Kentucky the frosh 7-on-7 & lineman challenge that was scheduled between Ryle, Highlands, Cooper and Cov Cath at Ryle was re-scheduled to early this morning.

There's a twelve-team 7-on-7 tonight at Murray State, there's the Best Of The West tournament in Hoptown on Wednesday, Beechwood and Simon Kenton are having a 7-on-7 today, South Laurel is hosting their "Air Assault" 7-on-7 event today.

Which teams are getting practice in at this point in the week? Does anyone have practice planned for the weekend? Has anyone else cancelled or re-scheduled?

Harrison Co had their 7 on 7 canceled today. Owen is supposed to have their’s tomorrow. I think a few teams got some 7 on 7 work in this morning.

We had an OTA this morning at Mercer with Danville, Collins, & Mason. Got a little hot and humid but never in danger of calling it off. Very productive morning.

Jefferson County Public Schools cancelled all outdoor practices for the rest of the weekend.

The 7 on 7 and Lineman competition that was scheduled for Saturday, July 20th at Central Hardin HS has been cancelled due to the extreme heat warning and teams dropping out.

Morning practices are the way to go this time of the year.

Has anything heard anything about the 7 on 7 at Raceland tomorrow? Its scheduled for 5pm, was curious if they have changed times or if it's going as scheduled.

Lawrence County Beat Raceland at Raceland 7 on7 in the Finals is what I've heard. I haven't heard how the 7 on 7 at Russell went.
