I never said NCC was slow, someone said they had played two other teams in the finals in 3A and 4A and made it sound like since they were bigger schools their players were faster than Danvilles.

I hope not! If Danville only had one or two kids with speed I think that it could hurt them,but this team is loaded with speed.It may slow down some of them but it can't slow down all of them.

Both teams have Great Coaches, Great Traditions, Great Programs and Great Fan Support. I think Danville has one more Great, GREAT TEAM SPEED on both sides of the ball. Speed Kills in a game like this. If NCC contains it it will be a very good ballgame, but if Danville gets on the edge or out in the open this game could very well be lopsided. Good luck to both teams, I have seen both of you play this year and have all the respect in the world for both of you. Now go to your corners and come out hitting at the bell.

 

NCC is pretty fast as well, I don't think Danville will out run them. I think this game will be one in the thenches, Whosever O and D line can win the war up front, wins the game.

Not to put added pressure, but this all comes down to the passing game. From the sounds of it, this may be a stalemate up front. If Harris is on, and his receivers catch the ball, then NewCath will be in good position. I believe that Harris is a much better QB than he's been given credit for. I believe that as he settled in as the QB and the receivers gained experience finishing routes, Harris has turned into one of the better QB's in NKY. With Vickars at apparently less than 100%, Harris will have to throw in the 150-175 yard range, minimum. Burks is a good power back, but if Vickars can't provide the home run threat, they need to pick up chunks at a time. I do not believe that a team can consistently take 8+ plays to score on a team like Danville, nor NewCath.

I'm going to be at this game and I want to stick around for the CCH-BG game (obviously). Does anyone know if one ticket is good for both games or if they are going to clear the stadium after NCC-Danville?

 

Word from the KHSAA says that separate tickets are needed for each game. However all the tickets are green so my guess is that if you want to see two games you could get two tickets at a participating school and save yourself some money at the gate.

Yes they played Somerset also Pulaski SW,Boyle Co. Frankfort,Bethelhem and Mayfield which are all very good competition! Ncc has also played and beat some very good competition. At this stage past games mean zero.The only thing that maters now is which team wants it more! Should be a classic 1A game!

He is a sophomore, and he has already been offered a scholarship from UK. I don't believe he is playing this week.
