Reds vs. Giants (5/3 - 5/6)

Featured Replies

Reds lose 12-11 due to poor pitching, no clutch hitting after the big lead and Votto going 0-7 and swinging on 2-0 leading off the 11th when we need a runner. Make him throw you a strike.

I'm assuming that is a team/organization policy?

No beer after the XXth inning???

No beer after the end of the 7th or 2.5 hours after the scheduled start of the game. Last night we were timed out because we hit 9:40. And yeah, organization policy.

Truth brother, nothing but the he truth.

The Reds turned the most positive game of the year with Senzel being called up and two big leads into the biggest negative game of the year. Not one relief pitcher came in with runners in scoring position and got us out of the inning. Lorenzen struck out the first two and gave up a hit. Igelias came in and gave up a hit in the eighth to score a run and then got the first two out in the ninth and threw a fastball right down the middle to a HR hitter. Hard to believe the things that happened in this game.

Just a quick factual note about Joey Votto and his “bad” year last year....Joey had a WAR of 3.5 last season. In MLB the accepted value of 1 WAR is $8MM. That means Joey was worth $28MM last year, which means his $25MM salary was actually still a bargain for the Reds.

You can put these stuff up all day long but right now he is not getting the job done on the field.

Went to MLB stats and sorted by 12 NL first baseman and Votto was dead last in almost every category. He has struck out 33 times in 30 games which means at they rate he would strike out 140 to 150 times, career high by far.

Glad the Reds usually show the Derby on the jumbotron, just a few mins late. I hope they still do that this year, I need to win some money!!!

Which was a 6 way tie for 81st by the way!! By your figuring Mookie Betts was way underpaid then, he should’ve been paid around $88 million, Boston really got a bargain!!
