November 23, 200619 yr When does Football Season Restart? Kentucky just doesnt have the Horses. You cant win ball games when you cant score in the paint. Never thought Id see the day, Yoter I agree and disagree. UK has plenty of horses to win college basketball games. Look at Gonzaga - right now they're leading North Carolina 60-49 on a neutral court. They don't have any more talent than UK. They are in super condition and always play with a chip on their shoulders. They always have a great game plan and Mark Few always gets everything plus more out of his roster. I have a hard time believing that they have more athleticism and talent than UK.

I thought that was a little odd for a multi-dimensional role player like Ray Ray.

November 23, 200619 yr Lack of confidence maybe?? Whatever it was - it was very obvious, even on national tv. Imagine how Meeks felt about the situation? I'd be tore all to pieces if Sheray Thomas froze me out.

For the entire preseason all I heard about was the new S&C coach and in the 5th game we are already using conditioning as an excuse. UK is suffering because of two absolutley awful recruiting classes (seniors and soph.). This will be the 2nd of many times were UK is simply under talented. We're looking down the barrell at another 10 loss season. However, I do think Jasper is a keeper. Everyone better be prepared for Stevenson to struggle against the better competition, he is simply to thin.

I think Stevenson will be a good player in time and will be very effective this year against inferior competition but good, veteran players will have their way with him. I just a shame that the roster is so void of talent in two classes. If Patterson and Lucas go elsewhere then it won't be any different in the future.

I am not gonna start it up for the people under Tubbys' spell but his future in my opinion relies a lot on Patterson and Lucas. Of course I think Tubby knows that. Probably why he drives to West Virginia often to visit Patterson. When Patterson himself said "why didn't you just call?"

November 23, 200619 yr If they weren't tired as they allowed an undisciplined team to slice and dice them in the half court, there are a lot more problems than it would seem in Lexington... And this from a guy who's team lost at home to... Wofford? Look, it's early, for every team. Freshmen need time and weight and conditioning. All these games are just pre-season until March rolls around. Putting the 4 freshmen in at the same time during this tourney, they showed alot of potential this early IMO. It's still Tubby ball, but it looks like he is letting them play a little more uptempo this early in the season than he usually does. They lost to two teams that were rated much higher than them because of returning players and I'm sure the plane ride will be quiet, but they will benefit from it more than playing walkovers. Are they a national championship team, no, IMO, but I think they could be a factor in the post-season. Go Big Blue!
