May 25, 20197 yr That was ash, not snow. I had that discussion and I’ll try to track down the source of it being snow. There is the clip of Dany touching the thrown which appears to have crystallization on it like moisture.

It was definitely ash. There was a scene earlier in the show where she had a vision of that very moment and it looked like snow, but now that we know she burned the city down, we know it was ash.
May 27, 20197 yr For what it's worth. I just finished watching the GOT: Last Watch Documentary. I really enjoyed it. Just a very good glimpse of people behinds the scene.

January 29, 20215 yr Author Wife and I went back and rewatched the whole series in December and January and man it was so much better the second time through. Was able to follow along way better. The end of Season 8 still wasn't great but I'm not as upset with it as I remember many being.

A couple of weeks ago my wife said she wanted to give it a try, so I restarted the series with her. We just started season 2 last night. Man oh man oh man have I ever picked up a LOT more the second go-around - especially in the first season. The first season, I just remember thinking like, "Well here's yet ANOTHER guy with a cape and a beard. Which guys are all Starks again? ...how about Baratheons?" I'm pretty confident I caught more details about things as seasons progressed, but wow, I've sure picked up on a lot more thus far. Case in point: I had no clue who Lysa Arran was - like no clue that she was the widow of Robert Baratheon's dead Hand, or that she was Catelyn Stark's sister. I just knew she was the crazy lady who nursed her son when he was wayyyyyy too old, and threw people through the hole in the floor of her throne room.
