Why would anyone still be obsessed with the LIT Ratings? It will not keep anyone from winning a State Championship or getting the chance to play in the title game. Get over it! So many things are factored into the formula that do not have anything to do with how good a team is.

It is like a "material possession" to want that "ridiculous" #1 spot in the Litkenhous. Just go out and finish the job, and don't worry the trophy will speak for itself.

As long as we get that state championship trophy, we can be 10th in the Lit ratings for all I care. :thumb:

If we needed any motivation after an emotional win, this could be it.

If they need motivation for a state semifinal game, they're already in trouble.

WE weren't even smelling the Top 5 when I was a senior, but I still got to bite that TROPHY.

There does seem to be a general lack of respect for the Rocks during the season the past couple of years. I think people look at the athletes that teams have returning and decide that Trinity will be No 3 of the big three. At the end of the season Trinity is still standing and the others have hung up the pads for the year. I think people don't appreciate just how good the coaching staff at Trinity is. They have been in the state semi-finals six of Coach Beatty's seven years. Four titles (and counting) and one runner up. Not bad.

^ It's really because of our district....seriously, next year, when our schedule is considerably tougher, that respect should be back, if not, who cares/

I can see H still being #1 because I believe even T fans acknowledge that they could just have easily won last week, and they recently beat X by a LOT. X being #2 is comical - they were blown out by H and also by T (even if only for a qtr.). That being said...who cares???!!!

Trinity fans moaning about a lack of respect ... man, that's rich.

Wasn't Trinity #2 in most of the 4A preseason polls?

Trinity should be in the final most years, if not every year ...

You are gonna have to explain that one!:thumb:

Not to me, just to some others.

With their tradition and numbers advantage, and with Male and St. Xavier usually in the other bracket, Trinity should be in the finals on a regular basis.

As far as I'm concerned, Trinity and St. Xavier are the favorites every year ... primarily for those reasons.

I guess a similar case could be made about why the local paper still posts this poll. Believe me, no one that matters cares about the Lit rankings at this point. But you've got to admit its kind of crazy.

Having Trinity behind the team they just beat is a joke.

I know this is not the correct thread, but no time to go through all of them. Does anyone know what day the state championship will be played on or where I might find the scheduled time for 2A?

thanks so much
