Friday night's first semifinal contest features defending champ Campbell County & the home-standing Royals, who are coming off two straight final shot victories. The two teams tangled in Alexandria back on January 3rd, with the Camels throttling Mason County 77-43.

 

Will Aric Russell's club make their fifth championship game in six years, or will Brian Kirk's squad continue their exhilarating post-season run?

Camels are too much for the Royals. Margin will be closer this time but I say Camels by 12.

Interested to see how the Royals try to defend Jolly.

Camels are the better team without a doubt. But as we know the better team doesn’t always win. The Royals have a big advantage playing in the Field-House. I’m sure they gained some confidence through their recent wins. However, I just can’t seem they beating the Camels especially if the Camels play to their capability. The duo down low of Jolly and Lawrence is awful hard to match up for most teams.....but the Camels outsider shooting has to get back on track for them to keep advancing. If the Royals come out shooting like they did against B.C. in Rnd 1 and the Camels struggle from the FT Line it could be an early end to the season for the Camels. Looking forward to it.....prediction is Camels 68 Royals 59.

I am a huge fan of Brian Kirk, and I know he is going to put Mason County back where they belong....

 

But....

 

Not this year. Jolly and the rest of the Camels are just going to be too tough, too good, and too much to overcome.
