orisonspi, I wish you knew the family. We say pass the potatoes and the formation the Pirates used in the Prestonsburg game. I'd like some mor gravy and do think they will stack up the box on Kasey, and I'd like some apple pie, and hopefully that will be intercepted at a critical time in the dinner so I don't get too stuffed.;):D

HAHA... the majority of our family lives in North Carolina and it used to be that we would go see them for the Holiday... with Belfry's success over the years they have come to expect not to see us.

I think that maybe we should get all the Belfry fans and Russell fans together and have an official BGP Leftover Tailgate HAHA

The one who stated that is not a homer type announcer and always calls the games 50/50, but I guess he could of missed it.

Touching it with your foot does not down it?

I don't believe an accidental touch by the coverage team constitutes a downed ball. It does make it a live ball if the recieving team touches it but an accidental touch by the coverage team does not kill the play. The officials never blew the ball dead. I was really suprised they reversed it.

On the other side it was a really smart play by Clark. He baited the Corbin punt team into it and it almost worked.

I agree the officials missed the call on the punt return. The whistle never blew the ball downed and how about the hits the Kasey Clark put on the last 5 minutes of the game! WOW that hit after the 4th down gave the Devils some energy and momentum back! The last two defensive series Kasey flew to the ball carriers and recievers like Troy Polamalu!!

Congrts to Russell,nice win.

Big time hits. He and Wills both had some big hits. The whole game was physical by both teams. It was not for the faint of heart out there. I thought it was one of the more physical games I have seen Russell involved in the last few years.

Yeah that hit by Kasey was awsome.:creepy:

 That was one of the hardest hits I've seen in H.S. football and then the Punt coverage with 1:06 remaining was awesome too! I agree this was a great preparation for Belfry you know that they will be extremely physical!

Good ball game. Congrats to Russell on another Region Title. I have heard alot of talk about Kasey Clark and don't get me wrong he is a good ball player. But the real player I thought made the difference tonight for Russell was the QB he does the mis-direction perfect from the wing T. Hate to see it end this year but look out next year, didn't loose much have alot coming up also Corbin will be somthing special next year and years to come. On the punt the ball was downed by hand it just kept rolling afterword. The side judge thought that if the ball was still moving nomatter wether it was downed or not it was still live ball. The White hat over-ruled it which was the right call. Once intentionally touched by the punt team it is then a dead ball. Great ball game tonight aweful long/unhappy drive home.

The downing of the punt was a blown call corrected I was standing ten yards from it.It hit no ones foot, the corbin player clearly layed his hand right on top of the ball as it sit still on the thirty, the ref threw his bean bag but never blew his whistle.. I bet a hundred dollars to a doughnut that this is what happened....

The ball touched a Cobin players foot. It was never downed by the coverage team and never blown dead. The Corbin announcers were almost right. The refs did blow that call when they second guessed themselves.

Didn't touch his foot, he smacked it backwards......clearly, that's why the ref standing right by it ran down and changed the call....

Congrats from a neighbor down the road. Good luck on your run for state. Just wish we could've have made it to the pizza box with you guys.

If a Corbin player put his hand on the ball then it was the right call. From the far side of the field it looked like the only contact came from the foot or leg of the Corbin player that Clark had blocked into the ball.

Clark was held to 34 yards rushing.......

Clark - 39 yards rushing, 86 yards recieving, 3 TDs(2 recieving,1 rushing)

Jones - 97 yards rushing, 5-7 86 yards passing, 2 TD passes 1 TD rush

Wells - 59 yards rushing

Corbins defense sold out to stop the run. They did an outstanding job of that. They stacked the box and blitzed all night.

Russell stayed stubborn in its play calling. They could have passed more or run the counter to offset the numbers that Corbin was bringing. Up 28-9 Russell went way to concervative IMO. With a defense as good as the Redhounds you can't just run it where they no its coming.

Great job Red Devils, Tyler Jones played like a warrior, he made so many big plays I lost count he was everywhere O an D awesome!!! Hey FBALL I might be traveling to Pirate land next week going to try an get a trade for friday, might even have to pull out that Russell sweatshirt and hat from 1989 when my other nephew Steve Vallance, played it has been in mothballs all this time(I hope it still fits not sure I think I may have picked up 1 or 2 pounds? lol) might as well put it to use!! Like Coach Edwards said last night, he said they had 1 more year to win me over to be a Russell fan, I am pretty sure that won't happen but you can bet I will be pulling for the Red Devils all the way! CONGRATULATIONS RUSSELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:fire: :fire::ylsuper:

Yea, he put his hand on it I saw that. Thats why I was wondering what happened I saw the corbin player down it, I turned away for a second an when I looked back clark was running down the field? I think that was the right call.
