May 16, 20197 yr The final was pretty exciting. Chris did everything he could to win. Devins was the winner until then.
May 16, 20197 yr Great Final Tribal. But I will say that the theme should have been on trial, even though I like WarDog's comment. CBS should not be proud of this season and how it played out. Credit to Chris for balling out for 4 days but two thumbs down from me.
May 16, 20197 yr Devins was the only thing this season had going for it. Edge of Extinction is the worst and they need to make sure they never repeat it.

Two people in the finale 4 who got voted out at some point, and the winner spent 28 out of the 39 days out of the game, interacting with most of the jury. He never had an opportunity to really screw anyone over, or make any enemies. No one who gets voted out in the third episode and spends 3/4 of the game on the outside doesn’t deserve to win. He played great those last 4 days but he should have never even had a chance to win.

Probably one of the better performances at Final Tribal. In saying all that, I absolutely loved Gavin's response to Chris going on about Classic Survivor, "getting voted out on the 8th day and coming back isn't Classic Survivor." And Julia's response to that annoyed me, when she said, "Yeah but this isn't Classic Survivor". Well no kidding Julia, he was responding to how Chris was talking about Classic Survivor.
May 16, 20197 yr I really just don't care for Kelly Wentworth, whom a lot of people seem to like. She seems very full of herself. I'd be pretty content if she didn't make any additional appearances.
May 16, 20197 yr I also wish they'd get back to giving the reunion a full hour. I almost don't understand the point of them showing anything at all anymore with how rushed it is.

If they repeat it, then there needs to be some sort of competition or vote to eliminate players at the Edge of Extinction. You can't let people just sit there building relationships without having to upset anyone. Chris balled out once he got back, but he only had to compete for 2 or 3 days and only had a hand in voting out 2 people on the jury. That was a huge advantage for him.

Huge advantage, and really unfair to the others who had to claw, lie and fight for 6 weeks, where he just got to hang out and build relationships stress free on ?Extinction Island. Plus it made for really bad TV, as the winner got virtually no air time most of the season. I understand the premise and why you'd want to give those voted out a chance to come back into the game. But the way it was done this year added no drama, or suspense to the season, and allowed the winner to circumvent the best and hardest part of the game....how to win vote at the end and avoid hurt feelings of those you conspired to vote off.
May 16, 20197 yr It was an interesting ending for sure but in the end I feel a little cheated as does those players that were not on Extinction island. Let's hope that was the beginning an the end of Edge of Extinction.
May 16, 20197 yr I actually like the idea of an island where people can work their way back into the game. It just needs to be done a lot differently than what they did this season. I have always thought it is almost unfair to those first 2 or 3 people voted out to be gone before they had much of a chance. If they do that redemption concept again, it definitely should be finished before the merge.

May 18, 20197 yr For the longtime Survivor fans, was that the worst final 3 in Survivor history? Yes by a landslide.
