Sam Adams isn't a stat guy. He won't get a lot of sacks or tackles. He is a guy that makes a team focus on him and open things up for others. And for the most part I think he has. Now it is up to those other to make plays which they haven't so everyone is saying Sam hasn't done anything. Thats just my view on the situation.

Does anyone watch football? A DT or NT can't do anything to stop the run if you don't have LB's. Our LB's are flat terrible. Also, the Bengals have been pretty good against the run this year. LT is sick.

Actually, I think it was the Steelers who lost the whole Bus. The Bengals are just momentarily changing tires while the Steelers are searching for a new mode of transportation.

Not asking for your help. You don't get it. If you want to give Adams a free pass, that's up to you.

 

Good interior defensive lineman move the line of scrimmage, they blow it up. Adams did that once upon a time, not any more.

 

IF Adams can't run anyone down, why would the other team worry about "occupying " him? "Taking up space" is the most useless term in sports. But, hey it must mean something to you. Which tells me how much you know. :banana:

On this team they are good for giving the starters a couple plays off here and there. Unfortunately, this year they've been forced to start. Opposing teams know this and are game planning around it and can afford to double team Adams. You can't tell me if Thurman and Pollack are playing this defense wouldn't be better.

Ok you, I'm not exactly able to read or see all the news and sports clips on what happened, all I get to see is how the local cricket and "football"(soccer) teams are doing.

 

Maybe someday one of those guys will get an MVP and both will get a ring. At least we can hope.:thumb:

And the Bengals inability to make plays on 3rd down on both offense and defense is the reason why they are 4 and 5...

 

AMEN!!!!! Lack of a consistent pass rusher will make all coverage look bad. It doesn't matter whether they blitz or the drop into two deep, they can not get to the QB. Brady, McNair, and now Rivers all carved up the Bengals on third and mediums to third and longs. The Bengals are very, very good on first and second down, generally where most defenses struggle. However, once it gets to 3 and 5 or more, it becomes comical. On offense, it has to be a combination of things, from Palmer not being very sharp to the 5 and soon to be 6 different OL combinations being brought out there.
