They do but they also usually take who the bowl wants. That's why UK got to go to the Outback Bowl in 1998 even though Georgia finished ahead of UK and beat UK head to head. The SEC supposedly gets the pick but they won't upset their sponsers--too much money involved. I'm a UK fan but that year they should have been in the Peach Bowl.

You guys haven't been bowling in a while. There is no need to start argueing over which one you need to go to at this point. Which ever one you end up at, just soak it up and enjoy the moment as fans. Don't set yourselves up for disappointment by aiming for a specific bowl.

 

Just bowl and be happy.

 

Thanks for the sage advice (and subtle negative jab) from big brother but there are no arguments here, baby. We are very glad to be going to a bowl and we will enjoy it. It is a step in the right direction for this program and for the fans, both of whom desperately need some positives to build on.

 

As for the thread topic, I think it will be the Music City Bowl also, but the Outback is a distant possibility, too. Either way, Go Cats!
