Just saw on WLWT that Jake Walter has been arrested and charged with rape.

 

This occurred just this past weekend.

 

Yikes.

This does not look good at all. First, if true, prayers to the victims, next, this guy needs help or has needed it for a while. I have read as many of 4 instances. So, I am not sure of anything other than he was arrested for an incident this weekend.

 

Pretty reliable sources I have heard from, though. Not sure how a person gets out of this. He will have, more than likely, the resources to get the best defense possible.

Whenever incidents like this turn up I always go back to what happened with Brock Turner the swimmer from Stanford who was convicted of raping an unconscious girl and served just 6 months in prison. If I had to guess Walter may have a similar sentence when all is said and done because of his profile. It’s a travesty when stuff like this is allowed to take place in our legal system, one can only hope Walter will be sentenced like a normal citizen if he’s guilty and not as a former star athlete.

Seriously everyone, the first (alleged) incident was when Walter was a juvenile so that one is off limits.
